Fulton County, NY is home to a diversified group of employers, all staking their claim and taking advantage of the County’s convenient location, affordable cost of space, and abundant resources. It’s home to manufacturing and distribution operations for companies as diverse as U.S. retailer Walmart, Greek manufacturer FAGE Yogurt, French bottler CG Roxane, and Spanish charcutier Pata Negra. Here is where medical device manufacturer Epimed International located its global headquarters, where Townsend Leather’s craftsmen and artisans create one-of-a-kind premier leather products for interior designers, and where hundreds of small businesses operate each day.

The County’s scenic beauty and diverse recreational assets annually attract thousands of visitors. Tourism has long served as a staple industry. The great Sacandaga Lake provides the background for year-round activities, including summer boating and swimming and winter snowmobiling and ice fishing.

Manufacturers, along with many farmer’s markets and new food businesses, like Mohawk Harvest in Gloversville, are developing the Region as a major food-processing hub. There are approximately 220 farms on nearly 40,000 acres in Fulton County that produce dairy products, fruit, vegetables and grain crops. The abundance of dairy products is the reason why Euphrates Inc., a feta cheesemaker, set up shop here.

FAGE USA, one of the largest yogurt brands in the U.S. sited its production facility in Fulton County. In 2013 CG Roxane began bottling and shipping Crystal Geyser^®Alpine Spring water in Johnstown. Specialty sausage manufacturer Espuna located their imperial Chorizo brand headquarters in a USDA-approved facility in Gloversville.
